Born and raised in Greenville, Alabama, Sawyer Hennis grew up like many southern men do, playing football, hunting, and spending a lot of time in the great outdoors. Sports, football especially, is what Sawyer credits for shaping him into the person he is today. 

After his first season as a college athlete, he was presented with an opportunity to follow his then dream of playing ball. But as fate would have it, he met a wonderful girl and together they chose a different journey.  

Now that football was no longer a priority, Sawyer started thinking about feeding his creative potential that had taken a backseat for years. That is when he saw the need for a brand that spoke authentically to the southern way of living and from that, Cypress Creek Outfitters was born.
